Introducing our Autumn 2014 menu

It's crazy to think that this time last year we were finalising our first ever menu and looking back and seeing how far we have come with our menu is a fair reflection of how far we have come as a business too. We're serving more customers, answering more questions and advising more people, but ultimately we're a business which sells food, so a lot of our time and resources goes in to launching a new seasonal menu.

Our new Autumn menu reflects the seasonal food available once again and we've built upon what we've found to be successful in our first year.

We're exictied about our warm Feta & Walnut salad, a vegetarian option to rival our best seller the 'Warm Chicken Salad' both of which will come with a dressing of your choice.

As the nght draw in and the temperature drops the favoutie hot pot makes a reappearance from our Specials board earlier this year, this time however we have a gluten free chicken sausage option and a vegetarian sausage option.

Basics of Nutrition and Dietary Intake - Workshop Wednesday 15th October 2014

We're going to hold a nutrition workshop on Wednesday 15th October.

This will be a 2.5 hour and will run from 6.30pm-9pm

The course content will be 'The Basics of Nutrition and Dietary Intake'

During the workshop we'll go through the following:

Macronutrients: Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats
Micronutrients
The Digestive system
Metabolism, Catabolism and energy
What influences how we eat
Obesity
Glycaemic Index

Due to growth, we are looking for an experienced kitchen leader who will come on board and support the above. 


The right candidate will go beyond expectations and be naturally inclined to help the business benefit from their hard work, We are looking for someone who has a natural flair with food, has experience with new menu design, works well with deadlines, and injects a respectable level of disciple and professionalism in the work place.

Further duties include;

Creating menu’s in accordance with healthy spec sheets
Excellent HACCP and food safety management
Staff training and development
Control of rota
Ordering, stock control and maintain a healthy GP
Delegation
Thorough cleanliness of the kitchen
